Refresh Tears Eye Drops: Uses and Side Effects

REFRESH TEARS provides instant relief and long-lasting comfort to patients with dry eye syndrome. Dry Eye Syndrome presents with symptoms such as foreign body sensation in your eyes, burning sensation, occasional redness, pricking sensation, and intermittent blurred vision.

For all contact lens wearers, the unique formulation relieves the dryness and irritation caused by dust, glare, pollen, air pollution, or overwork giving a more comfortable lens to wear all day.

Composition of Refresh Tears

REFRESH TEARS is a multidose sterile solution, that contains carboxymethyl/cellulose sodium 0,5%, sodium chloride, potassium chloride, calcium chloride dihydrate, magnesium chloride hexahydrate, boric acid, sodium borate decahydrate, purified water, and is preserved with PURITE® 0,005% which breaks down into natural tear components on the eye.

Instructions for use

Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water.
Shake the eye drop bottle gently.
Tilt your head back and pull down your lower eyelid with one hand.
Hold the Refresh Tears Eye Drop bottle with your other hand, resting it on your forehead or the bridge of your nose.
Gently squeeze one or two drops into the space between your lower eyelid and your eyeball. Be careful not to touch your eye or eyelashes with the dropper tip.
Close your eye and press your index finger against the corner of your eye (near the nose) for about 1 minute. This helps to prevent the eye drops from draining into your tear duct and being absorbed into your bloodstream.
If you need to use more than one drop, wait at least 5 minutes before applying the next drop. 8. Recap the eye drop bottle and store it in a cool, dry place.

If you are a contact lens wearer, for extra comfort place 1 or 2 drops on each lens before inserting.
Suitable for use with all types of contact lenses.

Possible Side Effects

The following are some important points to keep in mind while using Refresh Tears:

Vision may be temporarily blurred when using this product for the first time.
Minor burning, stinging, or irritation may also occur temporarily.
Although rare, a very serious allergic reaction to this drug may occur. Seek medical attention immediately if you experience symptoms such as rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, or trouble breathing.

Precautions

To avoid contamination, do not touch the bottle tip on any surface, and avoid direct contact with the eye.
Do not use if allergic to any of the ingredients.
Do not swallow the solution.
Close the bottle tightly immediately after use.
Discard any remaining solution 90 days after opening.
Do not use after the expiry date.
Keep out of the reach of children.
Store at room temperature.
Allow at least 5 minutes between the administration of ophthalmic products.
Ocular irritation may occur rarely.
